Gymnastics at Quayside

Build confidence
from the ground up

Gymnastics helps children, teens and adults develop strength, coordination, agility, flexibility and self-belief, all in a safe, supportive and energetic club environment.

A strong start for every gymnast

Gymnastics is a brilliant foundation sport. It gives children the building blocks for movement, confidence and body control, whether they are trying their very first forward roll or working towards more advanced skills.

Our trained coaches use progressive lesson planning, helping gymnasts build skills safely and steadily across a wide range of apparatus.

Classes are available from school age, 4 years plus, through to teens and adults, with sessions designed for different ages, abilities and stages of development.

Why choose gymnastics?

Gymnastics may look like cartwheels and handstands, but underneath it is quietly building the toolkit children carry into every sport, classroom and playground.

💪

Strength

Gymnasts build strong bodies through movement, control, climbing, jumping and balance work.

⚖️

Balance

Beam, floor and apparatus work help children understand how their bodies move and stabilise.

Confidence

Trying, practising and achieving new skills gives gymnasts a real sense of progress.

Focus

Gymnastics encourages listening, patience, determination and careful skill-building.

The gymnastics pathway

Every gymnast starts somewhere. Some come for fun, some come to grow in confidence and some discover they want to keep progressing. Our job is to help each child find their next step.

Start

New gymnasts learn the foundations: movement, safety, confidence, listening and basic shapes.

Grow

As skills develop, gymnasts build strength, coordination, flexibility and control across apparatus.

Progress

Gymnasts work towards awards and more advanced skills at a pace that suits their confidence and ability.
