Parkour at Quayside

Climb. Vault. Balance.
Find your brave.

Parkour and freerunning help children and young people move with confidence, creativity and control. Learn how to overcome obstacles safely, build strength and turn movement into adventure.

Movement with purpose

Parkour is about learning how to move through your environment safely, creatively and confidently. It includes running, climbing, jumping, vaulting, balancing, landing and linking movement together.

At Quayside, children and young people learn in a safe, coached environment where challenge is built gradually and every movement has a purpose.

Sessions include warm-ups, stations, drills, routes, games and cool-downs, helping children develop strength, agility, trust, teamwork, communication and problem-solving.

Coach Luxon the Lion

Coach Luxon’s challenge guide

Coach Luxon says parkour is not about rushing. It is about choosing your move, trying bravely and landing safely.

  • Start safely
  • Move with control
  • Try bravely
  • Celebrate every challenge

Why choose parkour?

Parkour is not just climbing and jumping. It is a little laboratory for courage, control, decision-making and creative movement.

🧗

Strength

Children build whole-body strength through climbing, landing, balancing and moving across obstacles.

⚖️

Balance

Parkour helps children understand how to stay steady, controlled and aware of their body position.

Agility

Moving between challenges develops speed, coordination, reactions and clever footwork.

🧠

Problem-solving

Children learn to look at an obstacle, plan their route and choose a safe way through.

What children learn

Every class gives children a chance to practise movement skills, build confidence and discover how much they can do when they try.

Learning safe ways to travel over obstacles with control, timing and confidence.
