Bridgwater trampoline club to send strong squad to Telford for one of the biggest weekends of the national calendar
Quayside Trampoline & Gymnastics Club will take a strong team to Telford International Centre from 2–4 October, as its gymnasts prepare to compete at the 2026 British Gymnastics National Age Group Finals and British Championships.
The weekend represents the culmination of the British national competition season, bringing together leading trampoline, tumbling and double mini-trampoline gymnasts from clubs across the country.
For the Bridgwater-based club, 10 individual trampoline gymnasts have qualified to compete in Saturday’s National Age Group Finals, with Quayside represented across age groups from 10 years through to Senior level.
Representing Quayside will be:
Ivy Ball – Women’s 10
Elena Marsh – Women’s 10
Conor Gill – Men’s 11–12
Adalyne Sperry – Women’s 11–12
Amber Lynham – Women’s 11–12
Jamie Pugsley – Men’s 15–16
Emma Mason – Women’s 15–16
Mike Oleksiyevets – Men’s 17–21
DJ McArthur – Men’s 17–21
Theo Gundry-White – Men’s 17–21 and Senior
Saturday’s performances will also decide which gymnasts progress into the individual British Championship competition on Sunday, when the age groups combine into Youth, Junior and Senior British Championship categories.
Quayside already has a significant presence confirmed for Sunday, with four synchronised trampoline partnerships competing for British Championship honours.
Amber Lynham & Adalyne Sperry will contest the Youth Women’s event, Jamie Pugsley & Elliott Hares the Junior Men’s event, while Quayside will have two partnerships in the Senior Men’s competition: Theo Gundry-White & Tom Gibson and Mike Oleksiyevets & Oliver Lacey.
The championships cap another successful national and international season for Quayside.
Emma Mason has twice taken silver in the Women’s 15–16 category at British Gymnastics National Qualification events this year and also represented Great Britain at the prestigious Nissen Cup in Switzerland.
Quayside has enjoyed further national podium success throughout 2026, including Mike Oleksiyevets and DJ McArthur taking Senior Men’s synchro gold at the second National Qualification Event, Emma adding another 15–16 silver and Theo Gundry-White securing Senior Men’s individual bronze.
The club also heads to Telford with recent British Championship pedigree. Theo Gundry-White and DJ McArthur won Senior Men’s synchronised silver at the 2025 British Championships.
Quayside Head Coach Carl Hall said:
“Reaching the National Age Group Finals and British Championships is a significant achievement in itself. The gymnasts have had to earn their places through the national qualification series and we are really pleased to be taking such a strong group to Telford.
“What is particularly encouraging is the spread of the team. We have gymnasts competing from the 10-year-old category right through to Senior level, alongside four synchro partnerships in the British Championships.
“For some this will be their first experience of a national final, while others are returning with considerable national and international experience. Our aim is the same for every gymnast – to go out, perform the routines they have prepared and produce their personal best when it matters.
“It should be a fantastic weekend and we are very proud to have so many Quayside gymnasts representing the club and Bridgwater on the national stage.”
The National Age Group Finals take place on Saturday 3 October, before attention turns to the British Championships on Sunday 4 October, when British titles will be decided across trampoline, synchronised trampoline, double mini-trampoline and tumbling.
