SEND Sessions at Quayside

A safe space to move
in your own way

Our SEND sessions give children a welcoming space to explore movement, build confidence and enjoy the gym at a pace that feels right for them.

Calm, welcoming and flexible

Every child is different, and that is exactly how we approach our SEND sessions. There is no pressure to move in one particular way, join in with everything, or get it right first time.

Children can explore the gym, try equipment, take breaks when needed and build confidence through movement, play and gentle encouragement.

The aim is simple: to help every child feel safe, included and proud of what they can do.

What makes SEND sessions different?

These sessions are designed to feel supportive, flexible and welcoming, so children can build confidence without feeling rushed.

๐Ÿ’›

Gentle support

Children are encouraged with kindness, patience and understanding.

๐ŸŒˆ

Flexible joining in

Children can take part in a way that works for them on the day.

๐Ÿง˜

Space to pause

Breaks, quieter moments and slower starts are all welcome.

๐ŸŒŸ

Confidence first

Success is measured in smiles, brave tries and small steps forward.

What children can explore

The gym is full of movement opportunities. Children can explore different areas with support, encouragement and plenty of choice.

๐ŸŸฆ

Trampolines

Floor-level trampolines for bouncing, balance and movement confidence.

๐Ÿคธ

Gymnastics equipment

Soft shapes, beams, bars and movement spaces for exploring safely.

๐Ÿง—

Climbing areas

Opportunities to build strength, confidence and body awareness.

๐Ÿงธ

Soft play and circuits

Gentler movement options for children who prefer a softer start.

Parent reassurance

We know trying something new can feel big, especially when you are not sure how your child will respond. This session is built with that in mind.

No pressure

Your child does not need to do everything. Watching, pausing and easing in slowly are all part of the process.

No one-size-fits-all

Children can engage differently, and that is absolutely fine. The session is about finding what works.
