Team Quayside

Stronger together.
Personal best always.

Team Quayside is where commitment, coaching and confidence come together. For children ready to progress in Trampoline and DMT, this is where effort, encouragement and personal bests matter most.

More than medals

Being part of Team Quayside is about so much more than results. It is about learning to work hard, listen well, support one another and keep going when something feels difficult.

Children grow in confidence, discipline and resilience while representing the club in Trampoline and DMT in a positive and encouraging environment.

Competitions can be exciting, but the real magic is in the friendships, the progress and the pride children feel when they see how far they have come.

Joining Team Quayside

How children join the team

Team Quayside is usually by invitation or discussion with the coaching team. Coaches look for children who are showing readiness, focus, commitment and enjoyment in Trampoline or DMT.

If a coach feels your child may be ready, they may be invited to a trial or assessment session. If your child is very interested in the Team pathway, you are welcome to speak to us too.

Our aim is always to find the right fit for the child. Team training should feel exciting, challenging and positive.

How trampoline competitions work

New to competitions? Here is the gentle version, without the scoring spreadsheet fog.

Routine

A trampoline routine is usually made up of 10 skills, performed in order, starting and finishing under control.

Execution

Judges look at shape, control, form and how cleanly each skill is performed.

Travel

Athletes aim to stay central on the trampoline. This is often called horizontal displacement.

Level

Depending on the level, scores may also include difficulty or time of flight. Coaches will explain what applies.

Parent guide to competitions

Competition days can be exciting, busy and emotional. The biggest thing parents can bring is calm encouragement. Athletes perform best when they feel supported, not pressured.

Please arrive in plenty of time, make sure your child has the correct kit, and follow the instructions given by coaches. Parents should stay in spectator areas and not enter the competition floor unless asked by a coach or organiser.

After your child competes, focus on effort, bravery and progress. Scores and medals matter, but confidence, resilience and personal bests matter even more.
