Quayside Trampoline & Gym Club enjoyed an impressive weekend at the first National Qualification Event of the year in Telford, with gymnasts producing a series of strong performances against some of the best athletes in the country.
The club returned home with three podium finishes, led by Emma Mason, who claimed silver in TRA Women 15–16, and Theo Gundry-White, who secured silver in TRA Men Senior. Quayside also celebrated a second senior silver medal through Mike Oleksiyevets and his synchro partner Oliver Lacey, who took 2nd place in TRS Senior Men.
There were more standout performances across the weekend. Adalyne Sperry finished an excellent 4th in TRA Women 11–12, narrowly missing the podium, while Theo Gundry-White and synchro partner Tom Gibson placed 4th in TRS Senior Men. In the individual men’s events, Mike Oleksiyevets finished 6th in TRA Men 17–21, while DJ McArthur claimed 7th in the same category.
Quayside also saw encouraging performances from across the squad, with Ivy Ball finishing 13th in TRA Women 10, Elena Marsh 16th in TRA Women 10, and Conor Gill 16th in TRA Men 11–12. Further national experience was gained by Theo Gundry-White in TRA Men 17–21 (19th), Siyaana Maxamed in TRA Women 17–21 (27th), Mia Davey in TRA Women 15–16 (30th), Amber Lynham in TRA Women 11–12 (36th), Nellie Solman in TRA Women 11–12 (41st) and Lily Catlow in TRA Women 11–12 (42nd).
The competition marked a positive start to the national season for the Bridgwater-based club, with athletes not only collecting medals but also gaining valuable experience on the national stage.

To come away with three podium finishes at a national qualifier is a strong return, and there were a number of other performances that showed real promise. Just as importantly, many of our gymnasts gained valuable experience competing at this level, which will help them moving forward through the season.”
